Mikhail Karikis worked for almost a year with teenage boys from the Isle of Grain – a stark and sparsely populated Kentish marshland dominated by industry, military ruins and rare wetland birds towards. Workshops and events, held around Grain between 2015 and 2016, all contributed towards a film, Ain’t Got No Fear, co-written and filmed with the boys, which premiered in Grain Village Hall before being shown at Whitstable Biennale 2016.
