Adam Chodzko is Artist in Residence with Whitstable Biennale between 2018 – 2019, shaping our future plans and programmes in North Kent as we become Cement Fields.
Chodzko is working with us to explore new affiliations and explore our potential role within communities between Whitstable and Dartford.
In conversation with local people, groups and organisations, Chodzko is designing a new residency programme for Whitstable Biennale, which aims to find new ways for artists to spend time in North Kent to research and develop new work.
Chodzko first worked with Whitstable Biennale in 2006. His performative lecture, Longshore Drift, Early Detroit Techno and Other Processes of Erosion, began a relationship which has included many projects and exhibitions, including the major commission Ghost (2010), most recently shown by Groundworks in Cornwall. Chodzko contributed to our 2018 programme, as part of our Ash Walks programme curated by Rose Thompson as part of the The Ash Project , as well as The School of Beginnings and The House of Beautifully Earned Trust.
