Samuel Taylor

Sam (he/him) is our Curator with a focus on commissions and artists development.

He approaches curation as a practice of care and collective endeavour, informed by personal experiences of chronic illness and neurodivergence. Informed by real-world contexts, places, and social conditions, his work is grounded in a belief in research-led, artistic enquiry as a vital means to explore complexity and begin to imagine new, radical and meaningful futures.

Alongside his role at Cement Fields, Sam works with The Arts Foundation – supporting the annual award of unconditional financial fellowships to artists – and is a co-founder of Parallax Photographic – a Brixton-based workers cooperative focused on analogue photographic processes and publishing. He is also a trustee at TACO! – a artist-led organisation supporting research, production, and exchange in Thamesmead.

Sam also has his own arts practice, having studied MA Print at the Royal College of Art and BA Photographic Arts at the University of Westminster.
